The heart of the quest for LGBTQ+ rights is in New York’s Greenwich Village at the Stonewall Inn. In 1969, same-sex dancing could mean being arrested and when police raided the Inn on Friday, June 27, this time they were met with defiance.

Talk with a Doc is a series of FREE virtual Zoom events held every other Wednesday at 11 a.m. throughout May, June, and July. You can participate in as many as you want. Topics include walking, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and dementia, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma and bronchitis, arthritis, and osteoporosis. The program will culminate in August with in-person walks with doctors on Long Island. You must register to reserve your spots.

She shares what inspired the journey, her experience living in her father’s childhood home for 6 months in the Philippines, and what she learned.
