AARP Connecticut has selected six recipients for its fourth Livable Communities Grant Program dedicated to fund quick-action projects in Connecticut communities that will help make immediate improvements or jumpstart long-term progress that will support residents. AARP Connecticut has funded 22 projects since the inception of the grant program in 2018.

There are some older adults who look forward to selling their homes and moving to new living spaces without the responsibilities of home maintenance and yard work. They have counted the cost and taken the leap to start anew.
“AARP Arizona is thrilled the Arizona Corporation Commission adopted our recommendations in the APS rate case order issued today. AARP Arizona has been focused on the issues surrounding the previous rate case, which was issued in 2017. AARP Arizona felt strongly enough during those proceedings to be one of only two groups to refuse to sign on to the settlement agreement. With today’s decision, AARP has been vindicated in our decision, and glad to know that then and now we will always fight for the 50+” Dana Kennedy, State Director for AARP Arizona said.
