AARP Mississippi is inviting all Veterans in the area to attend the AARP Veterans Town Hall on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The free event will be held at the Brown Mississippi Baptist Church, 980 Stateline Road East in Southaven. Veterans may bring one guest. Lunch will be served.

Donna Cavill of Escanaba served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years, part of that in the Desert Storm combat phase of the Gulf War.

The 40 th Annual New Mexico Senior Olympics will be July 18 to the 22 at 18 different locations around Albuquerque. If you’re a sports fan this might be the perfect event for you as the Olympics include a variety of different sports and are absolutely free for spectators.

No matter where you are in the caregiving continuum - starting to plan or taking care of a family member - having resources at your fingertips will make the process easier.

Join this FREE event on July 12, 2018, from 8:30am to 3:00pm, at First Baptist Church on Monument Avenue for a day filled with resources on how to be a savvy and safe senior, living independently. Participants will meet with local officials, learn from experts, attend workshops, visit sponsor and vendor tables, and network with others from across the region and the Commonwealth. They can bring up to 3 bags of documents for shredding to the Robinson Street Parking Lot before you take our shuttle to check in for Senior Safety Day. This is a conference for seniors on safety. First Baptist Church opens at 8:30am.
