Today, a secure retirement is out of reach for more than 600,000 Connecticut residents. These hard-working women and men work for small businesses and don't have a retirement savings plan available to them through their employer. And most fear they whatever they've saved on their own, if anything, is not enough for their retirement.

Tax season is underway. This year, AARP Foundation is again providing free tax assistance and preparation for taxpayers across Vermont with low to moderate income through the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program. AARP Tax-Aide, in its 49th year, is the nation’s largest free tax assistance and preparation service, giving special attention to the older population. You do not need to be a member of AARP or a retiree to use this service.

Colorado’s first bilingual Tax-Aide site at Centro San Juan Diego, 2830 Lawrence St, is in its fifth year of offering tax preparation for Spanish speakers, or taxpayers who just feel more comfortable working with a tax preparer or volunteer in Spanish.
