AARP volunteers knowledgeable about issues important to Nevadans age 50-plus are available to speak free of charge to community, civic and faith organizations across the state. These trained volunteers deliver interesting presentations about AARP programs, resources, events and priorities.
AARP Vermont is helping to launch a coalition of senior center and meal-site directors to provide a forum for sharing best practices and opportunities for training and networking.
End hunger With funding from AARP Foundation, AARP Virginia aims to develop food councils across the state to coordinate local efforts to fight hunger.
AARP Connecticut is helping families evaluate their homes, cars and communities to determine what changes may be necessary for older people to continue to live independently.
AARP Iowa debuted its Fraud Watch Network presentations in the eastern part of the state in December and is expanding the program statewide this year. Trained volunteers discuss the latest trends in telephone and online scams, and explain how to recognize and report fraud.
AARP Oregon is seeking volunteers comfortable in state leadership roles to serve on its Executive Committee and Diversity Advisory Council.

Tax season is here, and AARP Alabama and the AARP Foundation are again providing free tax assistance and preparation for taxpayers through the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program.
