In today’s digital age, we probably often ask ourselves, “What can I do to protect myself and my family further from fraud and scams?” While we know we can’t absolutely, 100% protect ourselves from those trying to get our personal information and money, following these five recommendations will help. Chances are, if you aren’t a family caregiver, you know someone who is. Every day, more than 820,000 Washingtonians help their parents, spouses, siblings, grandparents, neighbors and other loved ones to live independently at home – where they want to be.
In recognition of National Family Caregiving Month, Bank of America has put together an infographic with facts and tips for caregivers. Caregivers are a top priority for AARP and we are working with others like Bank of America to bring much-needed support and information for this rapidly growing group. boa-eldercare-infogrphaic-v43 .
The economy may be rebounding, but try telling that to the scores of Washingtonians who are still struggling to make ends meet. Whether it’s stagnant wages, increasing debt, or high consumer and housing costs, many people are finding it hard to get by day-to-day, much less think about their financial futures.
The Seattle Department of Transportation and AARP have launched a new public service campaign that highlights safety tips for people driving and walking. The campaign is part of Seattle’s Vision Zero plan to end traffic deaths and serious injuries by 2030.
