NEW YORK, N.Y. – In response to a series of ads released in New York by the House Majority PAC and House candidates, AARP New York reaffirms that it does not endorse candidates, does not have a political action committee (PAC) of its own and does not make contributions to political campaigns or candidates.
The campaign season is heating up, with races underway for governor and all 213 seats in the New York State Legislature. The AARP state office is urging members to attend public forums and debates and ask the candidates about two key issues—a proposed tax credit for family caregivers and state funding to help more New Yorkers age at home.
