Ellen Schafer of Bismarck has been appointed to the AARP North Dakota Executive Council, and Dr. Michael Worner of Fargo has been reappointed to the Executive Council for a second two-year term.
AARP North Dakota is urging state legislators to pass a bill to make it easier for the state’s 62,000 unpaid caregivers to assist their friends and relatives at home.
AARP North Dakota is looking for volunteers to work with state legislators on issues such as caregiving, health care access, transportation and property taxes.
RaeAnn Johnson of Grand Forks and Cindy Yale of Burlington have been appointed to the AARP North Dakota Executive Council.

Wendy Hogue of Mandan has joined the staff of AARP North Dakota as senior operations associate.
Mike Chaussee of Bismarck has joined the staff of AARP North Dakota as associate state director for advocacy.
Josh Askvig of Bismarck has been named state director for AARP in North Dakota. He has been associate state director for advocacy since Sept. 2011.
