The course teaches defensive driving techniques, shares proven safety strategies, and provides updates on new traffic laws and rules of the road.
Refresh your driving skills and possibly earn a discount on your annual insurance premium by taking an AARP Driver Safety class in your community or online. Classes are offered in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and cities across Iowa and the U.S. Course fees are $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Depending your your type of insurance, you may also receive a discount in addition to learning proven techniques to aid in your driving safety.
Driving safely isn’t just about keeping within the speed limit and signaling turns. It’s also about how well the car fits the driver.
AARP Maine is working with more than a dozen towns across the state to better prepare for an aging population. These communities want to help residents age in place and foster their engagement in civic, economic and social life.
