Driver Safety

In partnership with Emory University (Emory Continuing Education), the AARP Driver Safety class helps participants identify individual problem areas, which helps to improve their own driving behavior. Completing this course and submitting your certificate to your insurance company may result in a reduction of up to 10% in your insurance premiums!
AARP Announces Results of Orange Mound Community Survey
AARP Connecticut is out in the community, sharing information on a wide variety of topics. Our dedicated team of trained volunteers offers these programs at the invitation of many different communities and organizations throughout the state. The events are open to the public, and while some require registration others do not. Cathy Gonzales of Cheyenne has been selected by AARP to receive the 2015 AARP Wyoming Andrus Award for Community Service -- the Association’s most prestigious and visible state volunteer award.
In response to Illinois’ current budget impasse, the Illinois Secretary of State is no longer mailing license plate renewal notices to Illinois drivers. Failure to renew ones license plate on time can leave drivers with a $20 late fee or a $120 traffic ticket should they be pulled over with expired plates.
Motorists may pose safety risks to themselves and others if their vehicles don’t fit them well.
