AARP is working with the Food Bank Council of Michigan and other organizations to help bridge the resulting gaps through legislation and community outreach.
For every $100 of a worker’s earnings, 58 cents will go into the WA Cares Fund. Starting in July 2026, people who need in-home services, such as help with cooking or bathing, can apply for a WA Cares benefit to help cover the costs.
AARP Montana recently announced that it has donated $5,000 to the K9 Care Montana Wounded Warrior Service Dog Program – a non-profit organization based out of Philipsburg. The K9 Care Program is devoted to providing specially trained dogs, at no cost, to our nation’s Wounded Warriors.

Ransom State Park on May 31, and continuing monthly through our September hike at Theodore Roosevelt National Park (ND's only national park), AARP ND has organized hiking day trips to five different parks in North Dakota this summer.
