The Uniform Adult Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Jurisdiction Act (UAGPPJA), known as Senate Bill No. 2249, was passed by the Massachusetts Senate and has been referred to the House Committee on Ways and Means. There is only one week left before the end of the legislative session, and it is vital that this bill is passed before July 31.
Beginning Wednesday, May 21, 2014, the Massachusetts State Senate will begin debate on numerous budgetary line items and amendments as the legislative body moves toward a final vote on the Commonwealth’s Fiscal 2015 budget.
