AARP Missouri is encouraging state lawmakers to ease the burden on Missourians caring for loved ones at home. The resolution would establish a task force to identify policies, programs and resources that could help family caregivers throughout the state.
When AARP New Hampshire asked recently which ticket discounts would be popular in the Manchester area, the Palace Theatre topped the list for people 50 and older.
As in other states, AARP urges passage of the Caregiver Advise, Record, Enable (CARE) Act in Iowa to help family caregivers care for their loved ones safely and confidently. The measure aims to ensure that caregivers understand how to perform follow-up care when a hospital patient comes home.
AARP Kentucky is building a grassroots coalition to push for legislation that could give caregivers greater confidence in caring for a family member after a hospital stay.
