AARP knows that no one has everything figured out, and that is totally okay. Even if you know what you want to pursue, it can be difficult to figure out how to actually follow through. That’s why we’re introducing Life Reimagined Checkups, FREE two-hour sessions where we provide valuable tools to help you start the next chapter of your life. We give you access to insightful books, online activities and programs, lectures, and workshops that will help you gain the confidence and direction you need to move forward.

Do you want to help make a difference in other’s lives, both in your own community and beyond? Become an AARP volunteer and help bring the power of AARP to Poughkeepsie! You’ll help us grow the reach of our message and mission, which is to improve the quality of life for people 50 years of age and older, and their families. With your assistance, we can build a local team of AARP volunteers, who will help at discounted events, community service gatherings and at local and state advocacy functions.

Approaching its 50 th year, Tax-Aide offers free tax filing help to anyone, especially those 50 and older, who can’t afford a tax preparation service. Tax-Aide volunteers make a difference in their communities by assisting many older, lower-income taxpayers who might otherwise miss out on the credits and deductions they’ve earned.
