The mail, bills, paper, and old electronics cluttering your house may look like trash to you – but for identity thieves, your trash can be a financial gold mine. AARP Georgia recently offered seniors and others an easy and safe way to dispose of their personal documents and electronics, providing on-site document shredding and recycling at Rozar Park in Perry.
Earth Day events at the Dayton Garden Station saw all of its beds prepared for planting. Last year a crew of AARP volunteers built nine raised vegetable beds at the Dayton Garden Station and now they are ready to claim for the season.
AARP is now accepting nominations for its 2013 Colorado Andrus Award for Community Service, which honors 50+ Coloradans, who are sharing their experience, talent and skills to enrich the lives of their community members.
